Towards the end of the 2018-2019 school year, I found that many teachers were left a little unsettled by what they had earned on their NEPF teacher evaluations for the school year. Many teachers found themselves at a loss as to the scores they received, feeling not as valued and underscored in comparison to what they had accomplished during the school year.

The one thing I tell teachers is to learn how to make the NEPF work for you. I had the great opportunity of going out to Watson ES in April to help a handful of teachers really dig into the NEPF and brainstorm what they could use as part of their professional responsibilities to boost what would have been a score of 2 to a score of 3 based on their interpretation of the NEPF and using the NEPF as part of their narrative to justify their score.

While the NEPF is heavily subjective depending on the administrator, teachers have the opportunity to provide the narrative that speaks to their effectiveness as an instructor and professional. I encourage any licensed educator to come sit with me and learn how to make the NEPF and teacher evaluation to work for you and in your favor.

I will be holding NEPF: Make It Work For You Workshops on the following dates and times at the Nevada State Education Association. Please click one of the dates below to RSVP your spot today!

Please note that these are learning workshopsIf you are looking to speak about your evaluation for the 2018-2019 school year on a more personal level, please make an appointment with us to re-evaluate your evaluation to help you for the 2019-2020 school year.
